Broken release on second day

Good idea, bad design. I wore this helmet for a day, put it in the bag and into a secured canvas cargo bin in the back of the SUV. When I pulled it out the next day the release button for the modular lower jaw was pushed backwards and inoperable. Guy at dealer horsed it back into place but I had hell to pay to get my money back ("no returns on helmets!").Problem is design; release button needs to be pressed outward (away from chin) for release. But on this helmet, the latch is the very bottom of the articulated section and extends away from the helmet when activated. Obviously that also meant if dropped on the button, it could (and apparently did) dislodge. I'm still bewildered about how it happened. If I did drop it into the bin it was no more than 3-4 inches. Not really knowing how it happened, I couldn't even try to avoid it happening again.Instead I purchased the Bell Evo Revolution helmet here at Amazon (same price as the HJC). Bell release button is also at the chin location but it's enclosed by the bottom of the helmet where it can't get jammed. Bell has a much better design. Great helmet. Buy the Bell; not the HJC.
